CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Maybe the biggest criticism that I could make to my career are the

uncertainty of specifically a sociologist does because you haven’t previous
idea of what a sociologist does until you enter to this career unless that you
know some sociologist and tell you what is their job. At the same time, I
didn’t find yet the connection between my career and the work life,
specifically how I’ll apply the knowledge that I’ve acquired. I think that this
problem occurs because our object of
study is very broad and can be covered in so many ways that it is difficult to
establish a specific labor field. 




Regarding the sociology’s curriculum, I haven’t criticism about it
because I’m agreeing with the lot of changes that have been made over the years
that I have been in this race. Therefore, it would not make changes regarding
the subjects of the race. 



I think one of the elements that I would criticize, not only at the
level of the career or faculty, but also university, would be the few
facilities for those who are in difficult situations, that is to say: they are
mothers / fathers, they work full time, they take care of family members, etc.
In cases like these, since they represent a minority within a university as
elitist as this, it generates important differences not only at the level of
university performance, but also in terms of the possibilities of integration
in the different areas of the university. 



This is a reality of a few, it is true, but that does not mean that they
should not be heard and something can’t be done about it.
